This was one that I came across by accident I saw it from a distance and could not resist seeing it, I don't retreat it. I would recommend viewing it. Free to view
Perfect Abbey to walk around and explore uninterrupted. Free parking and other than cows, no one e to bother you! An amazing place of history!!
Off the beaten track and not where the postcode says , just carry on the road and you come across it . Bigger than I expected with some architectural features, it even has a car park . And bonus a lovely herd of pretty cows in the next field . I could hear and glimpse a river nearby but couldn't work out where to park or how to get to it .
Not a massive amount to see but quite interesting and some information boards to help you understand what it was all about.
Lovely location. But it is NOT in Egglestone as we thought! 😂
Fabulous location for a picnic and you can take the dog as its a fenced enclosure. No amenities on site at all but it is free for the suggestion of a £2 car parking fee.
Great place to wander round. Very pretty and relaxing
Canny pile of stones. Lovely little place to visit. Doesn’t take long to walk around. Access seems ok for most. Relatively flat walking throughout. Some good info boards to learn about the history of the place. No facilities here though
